Features and Benefits

Features of the TAW(Tied Arch Wale) method

  • You use TAW with arch member convex to the underground sheathing wall
  • You can use all of general H-steel wales and struts used in the Strut method and the construction process is same as the Strut method.
  • You don’t need additional processes on site including pre-loading or pre-stressing, installation and dismantling of additional members or separate accessory components, etc.
  • You can see that TAW effectively supports the load from the excavating sides compared to general wales and inhibits the displacement of underground sheathing walls.

Benefits of the TAW(Tied Arch Wale) method

  • The TAW method can reduce the amount of steel more than 20% due to the spacing of struts becomes wider to more than 9m.
  • The TAW method can secure enough work space in the site by reducing struts, strut supports, and post-piles, etc.
  • The TAW method can shorten the construction period with the same process and easy construction as the Strut method.
  • The TAW method can save overall construction costs by reducing direct construction costs and construction period and improving work efficiency.
Construction Process

The TAW(Tied Arch Wale) method has the same construction process as the Strut method.
